Foreword
In the past two years, the GSF Singapore Festival has attracted contestants with outstanding talents from various countries such as Singapore, China, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Malaysia, Vietnam and more. This year, we have set the venue for the competition in China and invited several outstanding violinists and educators from all over the world to guide the contestants through a series of masterclasses, lectures, seminars, and performances. We believe everyone can gain something from this learning experience in the spirit of exchange and collaboration. Participating in high-level music competitions is irreplaceable in improving a student's stage experience, acting as a gauge for their performance level, and broadening their horizons. The GSF Organising Committee sincerely invites young people from all over the world to participate in the upcoming GSF Singapore Festival.

Repertoire
There are 2 pieces to be played in 1 round, and there is no requirement for the order of performance.
Contestants need to choose one song from the Baroque or Classical period; and choose one song from the Romantic or Modern period. (*Chinese works are classified as modern period). Piano accompaniment during the competition will be provided by the organising committee.

Rates

Fees include:
- Entry fee for one student;
- 30 minutes of piano accompaniment;
- Qualifications for competitions and public master classes during the music festival;
- Eligibility to participate in other activities during the festival;
- String ensemble rehearsal classes during the festival;
- Lunch for four days from August 14 to August 17, 2024;
- One ticket to the awards concert.
The fee does not include:
- Transportation to and from competition venues;
- Other room and board expenses
[COMPETITION PACKAGE B - RMB 6160]
Fees include:
- Entry fee for one student;
- 30 minutes of piano accompaniment;
- Qualifications for competitions and public master classes during the music festival;
- Eligibility to participate in other activities during the festival;
- String ensemble rehearsal classes during the festival;
- Lunch for four days from August 14 to August 17, 2024;
- One deluxe double room or twin room for 5 days from August 13, 2024 (check-in) to August 18 (check-out);
- From August 14 to August 17, 2024, there will be a round-trip shuttle bus from the hotel to the music festival venue (2 buses from the hotel to the music festival venue in the morning, and 2 buses from the music festival venue back to the hotel in the afternoon);
- Shuttle bus from hotel to music festival venue on August 18, 2024 (2 buses from hotel to music festival venue in the morning);
- One ticket to the awards concert.
The fee does not include:
- Other transportation expenses;
- Other room and board expenses

Special note: The hotel mentioned in the projects involved in the above music festival is "Chongqing Pagosenti Liangjiangdiyuan Hotel", and the room type is "Deluxe Twin Room".
"Competition Package B" will include up to 2 buffet breakfasts per room in the hotel, and "Accompanying Package B" will include up to 1 buffet breakfast per bed in the hotel. Each additional breakfast will be charged RMB 128 per person, under 1.2 meters. No charge; half price for 1.2-1.4 meters; full price for items above 1.4 meters.

Renowned violin educator
Mr Yin Ke is currently Director of the Strings Department in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts’ (NAFA) School of Young Talent. Over his 30 years of teaching career, Mr Yin has formulated a distinctive teaching pedagogy to harness the unique strength and character of each of his students. Through his proven teaching methods, he has nurtured many of his students into outstanding soloists and critically acclaimed musicians worldwide, winning numerous accolades in local and overseas competitions. These include the most competitive and prestigious violin competitions: the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition, the Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians in China, the Singapore Biennial National Piano and Violin Competition, MediaCorp Symphony 92.4’s Young Talents Project, Thailand International String Competition, the Animato International Violin Competition in Australia and the Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition in Italy.
Mr Yin is highly sought after and is frequently invited to give overseas masterclasses in countries such as the UK, USA, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and China. He is part of the teaching faculty at the Singapore Violin Festival and the New Virtuosi Queenswood Mastercourse in the UK.
Mr Yin plays a Carlo Fernando Landolphi c.1750 violin, generously sponsored by Postscript, in recognition of Mr Yin's violin performance and contribution to music education.
