“Stronger Together, Majulah!”
20 Aug 2022 08:00am
This iteration of World Strings Day will see people from all walks of life coming together to celebrate Singapore’s 57th birthday, where we perform classic NDP songs together at a scenic location in Singapore.
Despite the pandemic, this has not dampened the spirits of string musicians. Music has a strong unifying power and as part of GSF’s vision to keep the spirit of strings alive and unite musicians for the common good, we will be performing a meticulously curated repertoire of familiar local tunes arranged by local composer Phoon Yu! Hence, this WSD NDP edition seeks to align with the nation’s goal in forging ahead as one united people towards a better future, through music.
We would like to take this opportunity to invite new friends to join this edition of WSD, making this national day an extra meaningful one. Wait no more and take this chance to contribute to a Singapore that is Stronger Together Through Music, Majulah!
